In
essence, every job is blessed by God and accompanied by a good intention is
worship. Prophet Muhammad SAW said: "Whoever works for his wife, children
through a lawful way, so for them the reward as those who strive in the way of
Allah". In addition, another hadith reads: "Looking for work is fard after
fard".
Worship
is an act, a good deed mouth (words) or the actions of other limbs. Thus,
worship is not as narrow as just prayer, fasting, zakat and hajj. Worship
includes all physical activities, reasonable minds and souls; thus including
seeking sustenance, seek knowledge, educating and raising children, earning a
living for the family, even getting rid of the thorns off the streets. All
motion that we run in 24 hours is worship, it must be worth worship (ibadah). Let us not be confused with
the affairs of the world or the hereafter, because all is worship that have
relevance to the world at once to the afterlife. ***
